In this research, we are focusing a violin-playing aimed at establishing communication between human and robots. The ultimate goal of this study is to build a robot that can determine its performance automatically based on the information of musical notes. The violin-playing robot we are developing was controlled by one PC equipped with ADC, DAC, and Counter, which cause the system to become larger. Such system can be replaced by small and inexpensive microcomputers. In addition, we used ART-Linux as a real-time OS. However, its official support was over. Thus, we decided to build a new control system using microcomputer. We chose Arduino Nano for controlling each DC motor and Arduino Mega for control the Arduino Nanos. As a result of experiment, we confirmed that the robot can be set to performance position from the initial position.
