This study focused on a technique called EWOD (Electrowetting on Dielectric), which allows for control of the wettability using electric potential to transport and handle micro droplets. The EWOD devices were applied to chemical analysis systems and micro motors. However, the droplet handling is mostly confined within the devices and the discharging droplets out of devices have not been performed yet. proposed a discharge method. And conducted an experiment and verified whether it can be discharged by the proposed method. The present study is aimed at developing a discharging device which performs transporting and discharging of the liquid droplets by utilizing the EWOD.
