Abstract

Recently, cars are indispensable to society. As they have become familiar, attention to the safety of automobiles has increased, and seatbelts and airbags have been installed on almost all vehicles. However, in order to properly use such a device, it is necessary to accurately grasp which seat of the vehicle is occupied by a person. In the past, load sensors were used, but we could not distinguish between people and luggage. In this research, we propose a system to recognize people by the load sensor using Quartz Crystal Resonator. We measured the load fluctuation caused by biological signals such as respiration and pulse wave.
