Abstract

We are developing a portable immersive projection screen for remote control. The screen that we propose is in the shape of a part of cylinder, and it is tilted 26 degrees. The shape of screen derives the wide field of view. The view angle is 133 degrees in horizontal direction and wide angle in lower direction to show ground. It is enough view angle for tele-operate the remote construction machinery. The screen is made of a single plastic board for ease of disassembly/reassembly and transport. This screen is implemented as a teleoperation cockpit of the construction robot to see its effectiveness.
