Abstract

We designed and fabricated adsorption component that can deal with various application aspects. It is separated into a flexible suction mechanism for coping with the uneven surface which has been difficult with conventional suction pads and a holding mechanism for realizing a stable operation. By combining three conventional small-scale adsorption components, we developed a medium-scale one that can accommodate further various loads. Since the same design concept as that of the small scale is used for medium scale, further load correspondence deployment is made possible. We carried out the operation test on the wall moving robot and construction machine and the durability test of each adsorption component.
