Abstract

Currently, the shortage of the working population is regarded as a problem with a declining birthrate and aging population in Japan. The estimated demand for labor in 2030 is about 70.73 million, while the supply is thought to be about 64.69 million. In the current situation, it is estimated that there will be a shortage of about 6.44 million. The four proposed ideas to fill the shortage are to increase the number of working women, seniors, foreigners, and increase productivity. It is presumed that increasing the productivity could reduce the shortage by about 2.98 million people. One of the solutions to increase the productivity is using succession management with young employees. However, the cost of technology transfer is high and it takes a lot of time, which is a serious problem Therefore, the development of an efficient technology transfer system is required. Machine tools require hands-free technology as an explanation of the operation method. Due to operation using hands. The purpose of this study is to develop a general-purpose lathe technique inheritance system using Augmented Reality (AR).
