Recently, bicycles have become an important means of daily transportation in urban areas in Japan. However, child-carrying bicycle has the risk to cause dangerous accidents due to falls. This study, we examined a child-carrying bicycle takes a method that change height of child riding position to reduce the risk. We developed a prototype of a child-carrying bicycle with a small rear wheel that can change the center of gravity of a child. Moreover, we experimentally confirmed the riding stability of a driver by changing the center of gravity. It was confirmed that the small rear wheel did not affect the drivability of the bicycle. Moreover, it was confirmed the child-carrying bicycle that the child riding position is 300 mm lower than that of a standard child-carrying bicycle was more drivable.
