We have been studying the automation of carrying operations for stocking items in a retail store using a carrying robot. We used the "human prototype method," in which a human simulates the robot's movements, to measure the effectiveness of the method. We confirmed that efficiency can be improved by selecting routes where multiple robots do not interfere with each other and by setting up shortcut routes.
