Abstract

In recent years, the number of people involved in the construction industry has been decreasing, and it is necessary to improve productivity per worker. Teleoperated excavators are being introduced as a solution to this problem. This makes it possible to instantly switch between excavators of the appropriate size according to the work to be performed. Different excavators are different dynamic characteristics and arm lengths, which may affect the operation after switching. In this study, we created an excavator switching simulator and investigated the effects of switching. As a result of excavation work experiments with a 13-ton class excavator and a 20-ton class excavator, it was confirmed that switching increased the work time and decreased the bucket tip speed.
