Abstract

Childcare neurosis and depression have become serious problems. Estimating toddler’ stress and health status is necessary to reduce childcare burden. Toddler behavior is a very important indicator for estimating stress and health status. The body temperature of toddlers tends to fluctuate due to factors other than health, and it is difficult to measure other biological information on a daily basis. However, there are few researches measuring various toddler behavior in the home over a long time. This study proposes a safe sensor-embedded plushie device for measuring toddler behavior in home. First, new sensors were developed and added to previous research devices for expansion of measurable toddler behaviors. Second, changes to internal storage of acquired data and power saving were done for long-term experiment in home. Finally, Basic operation verification was experimented.
