Abstract

Recently, massive disasters have frequently occurred in Japan. In the disaster, it is important to quickly confirm the safety of the victims. However, it takes long time to confirm the safety of resident in isolated and local area. Therefore, there is an urgent need to secure the way of confirming safety. We have been study a safety system using ship base stations. In this study, the experiment is conducted on elderly people using safety confirmation devices with different input methods. In particular, we will conduct experiments and questionnaire on input methods such as touch panels and push buttons to clarify the operating characteristics of elderly people.
