Abstract

Japan is experiencing a declining birthrate and an aging population, and there is a growing demand for service robots. Today, the robotics industry is growing rapidly and making inroads into human society. When providing services to people, it is conceivable that they can provide better services by estimating human behavior and emotions and changing their behavior accordingly. Therefore, in this study, we developed a system that uses an emotion estimation device and a mobile robot to control the robot to human emotions using the potential method. In the experiment, the robot was able to approach or move away from the person depending on the person's emotion.
