Support for elderly people with dementia is an urgent issue. The purpose of this study is to apply the concept of subjective experience introduced by Ueda to dementia and to propose a computational method for subjective experience design that can positively affect dementia. The proposed method provides experience recommendations by evaluating both the similarity of life functions and the similarity of experiences among elderly people. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, a database integrating the life functions and subjective experiences of 26 elderly people with dementia was constructed using a knowledge graph. One person was picked out of the 26, and the top five recommendation priority for that person were output using the knowledge graph. From the evaluations, it was suggested that the proposed method could be used to present candidates of positive experiences to elderly people with dementia.
