Acoustic characteristics of everyday objects and sculptures used by touch and tactile impressions evoked by humans.

Abstract

When humans touch objects, sounds that appeal to the sense of touch as well as the sense of hearing is feedback to humans. In this study, we analyzed the acoustic features of the sound produced when a human touches an object. Then, we discussed the acoustic features and the tactile impressions that humans obtain.
