Abstract

Autonomous vehicles and self-driving cars are under development and several test phases have successfully been carried out. Robust road detection in different environments is an essential component of self-driving vehicles. Compared to traditional image processing techniques, recent developments in deep learning has enabled robust road detection. This paper proposes road detection using semantic segmentation method. The experiment was conducted with actual sensor and the results were analyzed using different metrics.
