This paper describes a silicone rubber bistable structure for variable Helmholtz resonators (HR). The proposed bistable structure has two different stable states and can be deformed by applying force to the center. By applying this to a chamber of HR, the resonance frequency of HR can be changed from the internal volume change of the bistable structure. The proposed bistable structure was fabricated using a silicone 3D printer. To verify the bistability of the fabricated bistable structure, tensile and compression tests were conducted to measure the relationship between the stroke and the force acting on the structure. From the experiments, the bistability of the fabricated structure was confirmed by observing a moment of abrupt change in the force acting on the object.
