Side-wall-driven microfluidic devices have the advantage of a simple structure and low production cost, as the actuator and the channel body for operation are independent of each other. In this study, the device integrating the side-wall-driven micromixer and the pump that has been developed so far was developed. The prototype structure capable of introducing two solutions was built, and it was found that insufficient pumping occurred due to poor pump performance. To improve pump performance, we increased the channel height only in the pump section. As a result, the pumping function was significantly improved and the device functionality was achieved as intended.
