When increasing Shinkansen operating speed, it is necessary to determine the maximum possible speed that does not compromise operational safety. So running test was put implemented north of Morioka to test their effect. A measuring instrument was loaded on the head part of a testing car. On the ground, we measured track irregularity and stress. Measured items included rails, the rail fastening systems, and slabs. We analyzed and evaluated effect on tracks. As a result of in this test, two points were found to exceed the accepted values of follows. (Testing speeds were from 260km/h to 320km/h.) The wheel load, lateral force and derailment quotient fell determined standard value, and it was confirmed that there are no problems. Several sites existed with larger measurement values. Measures were taken before increasing speed.
