Numerical and experimental studies of the radial-flow forced-convection heat transfer in narrow open-cellular porous channels bounded both by a constant temperature wall and by an adiabatic wall are made. The Brinkman-Forchheimer model, lateral thermal dispersion and the boundary-layer approximation are taken into account in the governing equations. 0.5mm thick annular Ag and Cu open-cellular porous plates are examined in the experiment. Agreement between theoretical predictions and experimental results of the mean Nusselt number is satisfactory.
