Direct numerical simulation was performed for curved wall channel turbulent flow with heat transfer. Kobayashi et al. measured turbulent heat transfer in a two-dimensional curved channel with a radius ratio of 0.92. They suggested that if fully developed straight parallel plate channel turbulent airflow went through into curved channel, then large-scale streamwise vortex like Taylor-Gortler type vortices was generated in curved channel and it plays an important role for heat transfer mechanisms. DNS results show agreement with Kobayashi et al.'s experimental results including large-scale streamwise vortex's behavior. This paper shows characteristics of turbulent statistics and power spectra developing process. It was found that near the outer wall was enhanced straight channel's streamwise vortex structure and developed into large-scale vortex structure moving to center of curved channel.
