2403 Study on the Running Safety of Railway Vehicles in Earthquake by the Model Vehicle Experiment

Abstract

Some experimental investigations were carried out to get the relation between the safety limit of excitation displacement value and excitation frequency. About 1/50 scaled model vehicles were made. These vehicles were excited by vibration stand. Movements of the vehicle were measured and the safety limit of excitation displacement value was obtained. Obtained results were qualitatively identical to the results obtained by another groupe's simulation.
