In addition to designs of input number of machines, system layout, and management model, we take into consideration machines' specifications for imposed demands. This is the proposed integrated design methodology for a transportation system in an automated seaport container terminal, in this paper. The objective of this research is to maximize the system efficiency while minimizing the changes of the specifications. For this objective, we evaluate the specifications ; then, make clear the effects on the system. Based on the results, we downgrade and upgrade the specifications and then, we finally design the number of machines and the specifications appropriately for imposed demands.
