Since enforcement of the Traffic Barrier-Free Law, barriers for wheel chair users have been reducing on railway infrastructures. It also increases the usability for baby carriage users and users with wheeled luggage and the number of such users are increasing. Therefore, it will be required to develop the suitable space for baby carriage users in railway commuter vehicles. Then, two types of the universal space suitable for baby carriage users and one universal designed priority seat section are made and tested by ergonomic method. Proposed accommodations are supported from both mobility users and baby carriage users.
