We investigated the vibration characteristics of Shinkansen seat by performing vibration tests with tri-axial shaking table. By measuring the vibration accelerations of each parts of the seat and table floor under the seat, frequency response analysis and modal analysis were conducted. In the frequency response analysis, we introduced the multiple inputs frequency response function. We also identified the modal characteristics such as the natural frequency and mode shape of the seat. From these analyses, effects of human on the seat and number of the input on the vibration characteristics are discussed.
