Abstract
This paper proposes a control scheme to reduce the vertical vibration of carbody by the traction motor torques. Traction motors of electric railway vehicles are mostly driven by 1-pulse mode which the voltage of PWM inverter was saturated. In 1-pulse mode, the torque control characteristics of the motor deteriorate because the controller can control only the phase of the output voltage. This paper describes the simulation of the control scheme with 1-pulse mode. The simulation results reveal that the control scheme with 1-pulse mode can reduce vertical vibration as same as in the case of the control scheme with vector control.
