Abstract
One of the recommending solutions for greenhouse gas reduction is eco-driving in recent years, which requires driver to carefully operate accelerator and brake of vehicle. However, eco-driving may results in stressful driving for driver. In the study, driving parameters of vehicle and bio-signals of driver are proposed to assess the driver's stress during eco-driving. In an actual truck driving experiment, vehicle data and physiological indexes of driver were measured during eco-driving in public road. The results show that pedal effort and electromyogram of triceps surae muscle are strongly related to driver's stress, and can be used to assess driver's stress during eco-driving.
