Abstract
This study discusses a collision avoidance technology designed to improve the safety of small or micro-sized vehicles. In this paper, autonomous steering experiment by the automatic steering system by micro electric automobile (ATS Vehicle) which steered the front tire by right and left driving force difference and kingpin offset is carried out. Autonomous steering utilizing 'Active Torque Steered' (ATS) vehicle is proposed and evaluated performance of collision avoidance using simulation of critical avoidance time compared with autonomous braking of this vehicle.
