In this paper, we state the results of the wind tunnel tests concerning the aero dynamical improvement methods of overturn proof strength of a railway vehicle. Specifically, as the improvement methods, we considered roof shape change and wing attachment under a carbody. As a result, it has been revealed that the critical wind speed of overturning improves by the wing attachment. Furthermore, as an addition to our past report, we indicate the equations of estimation approximately how much the critical wind speed of overturning will be improved by modifying the railway vehicle specifications.
