抄録

The contact point between wheel and rail is displaced to the longitudinal direction. The displacement is related to the relative yawing angle between wheelset and rail, which is so called the angle of attack. It is an important physical quantity to discuss the self-steering ability of a railway vehicle. This paper proposes a continuous estimation method of longitudinal displacement of wheel/rail contact point by using the signal of strain gauges that are installed on the PQ measurement wheelset.
