Abstract

Railway signalling facilities are widely introduced along railway lines for ensuring safe and stable operation of trains. Following that signalling facilities become highly functional and smaller sized, replacement of relay equipment with electronic equipment had been done a long time ago. On the other hand, it is often difficult to assess the deterioration tendency of electronic equipment, and to set proper replacement time of the introduced electronic equipment. This causes a problem for us to decide an appropriate time of replacement of aged electric equipment. In this paper, we have expanded the estimation method for specifying the component life according to the usage environment developed last time, and examined a method for calculating the equipment life from the component life.
