Abstract

Creep force has a great influence on the motion of rolling stock, and we are engaged in research to realize a mechanically similar creep force by running experiments using a scaled model. In order to achieve this, it is necessary to consider the material properties of the model. In our previous research, we have developed an experimental apparatus that enables us to understand the trend of changes in longitudinal and lateral creep forces during straight line running. Using this experimental apparatus, we conducted running tests with wheels and rails of different material properties and measured the creep forces. This paper reports the analysis results of these experimental data.
