Railway operators control track by inspecting track irregularity, which are the amount of deviation of the track from its original shape. As track is deformed by vehicle loads, dynamic irregularity inspection under vehicle load is desirable. However, some railway operators inspect only static irregularity. For this issue, we have proposed a dynamic Longitudianl track method based on vertical vibration. However, cross level irregularity is also important for safe train operation. In this study, we focus on cross level irregularity and investigate a method to measure dynamic cross level irregularity on In-service trains by using LiDAR sensor. The results were in general agreement with the conventional measurement results.
