In this report, "Mechanical Engineering Heritage" authorized by JSME in 2007 and its continuation and development will be introduced. Next three contents will be explained. 1) Authorization of "Mechanical Engineering Heritage" by JSME and responses from society. 2) Authorization of "Mechanical Engineering Heritage" and its continuation and development in future. 3) Succession of "Mechanical Engineering Heritage" authorization and conclusions on this report.
