Abstract
This study explores Japanese local government employees' view of cooperation with foreigners in relation to the size of the organizations. For this purpose, Japanese local government employees (Tantosha) working with CIRs responded to a questionnaire. CIRs are foreigners invited through the JET Programme. Using confirmatory factor analysis, cultural and organizational aspects of intercultural cooperation were examined and compared between large- and small-scale local governments. Results demonstrated that there are both common and different perceptions in the view of cooperation between Tantosha in the large- and small- scale local governments.
