An investigation was made on the method of concentrating oxygen in air under the gauge pressure of 0∼3g/cm2 at a normal temperature by using Itaya-zeolite composed mainly of clinoptilolite.
Approximately 50 volume % of oxygen-concentrated air could be obtained by a two-cylinder small-sized pressure swing device. Though Itaya-zeolite has less adsorbing power of nitrogen than the molecular sieve 5A or 4A, it will be useful for oxygen-enriched air in the fields such as waste water treatment and medical attendance.
