Abstract
During the healing process of experimental wound which is furnished on the back of rabbit, the β-glucuronidase activity in serum inereased while the excretion of gtucuronic acid into urine decreased with as well as without administration of extra glucuronic acid. Also some beneficial effects of glucuronic acid was observed on the healing activity of the wound.
Further investigation was made to prove the conjugation of anthranilic acid as glucuronide in normal skin, and the glucuronide content of granulation tissue was found to be slightly less than that of normal skin.
