Abstract
Effects of the composition of diet on the activity of intestinal alkaline phosphatase were investigated, and high protein diet was found to make most remarkable increase. By feeding of the basal diet, the activity of the alkaline phosphatase of intestinal juice was found to be higher than that of the intestine, while by feeding of high carbohydrate diet it was lower on the contrary.
Excision of adrenal made significant decrease in phosphatase activity of intestinal juice.
