7. Mineral Contents of Bone and Liver of Induced Rachitic Animals

Abstract
As previously reported, the total excretion of calcium, phosphorous, iron and copper showed remarkable increase in rachitic animal, while that of potassium and sodium decreased on the contrary. Further investigation was made on tht content of these elements in bone and liver of rachitic animal, and was found that calcium and phosphorous content is remarkably less than that of normal animal, while potassium content is greater. Iron and copper content of liver of rachitic animal is more than that of normal animal, while that of bone is less on the contrary.
