A plasma injection scheme through a diverter into a torus is proposed by the use of the neutral point discharge. The method is based on the experimental results of the acceleration and heating of plasma to a KeV range in the neutral sheet. The current is driven either inductively or by the use of electrodes through the neutral point of the diverter and the accelerated plasma in the neutral sheet can be injected into the torus along the deformed magnetic field.
