A model is proposed where the dust particles are the source of impurity atoms that are present in the early phase of a Tokamak discharge. The model seems to fit the optical observation of the Doublet HA discharge. Also it explains the relative cleaniness of Alcator compared with the other tokamaks. The direct observations are needed to confirm the hypothesis.
