抄録

Accurate and stable numerical solutions for time convection-dominated fluid flows are urgently required. A calculation procedure to solve the unsteady incompressible three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations at relatively high Reynolds numbers in arbitrary shapes is presented. The boundary-fitted curvilinear coordinate system is used. The Adams-Bashforth scheme is used for the time integration and a third-order upwind differencing for the convective terms which have an advantage in suppressing the instabilities is used. The third-order method for the space derivatives based on the Quadratic Upstream Interpolation for Convective Kinematics (QUICK) algorithm is used. As an example, the solutions for a time-marching circular-sectioned bended pipe flow at the Reynolds number of 103 and 5×104 were obtained. The Taylor-Görtler type secondary vortices and the corner vortices were well caught in these simulations.
