Abstract
We are screening of seed morphological mutants from Rice FOX lines. T2 seeds of Rice FOX lines that are preserved at every line are used for the screening. The method is as follows. 1) About 30 seeds of each line are put into a well of 70-well plate. 2) The plate is scanned into computer to take a seed image file. 3) Seed morphology such as sharp, size and color is analyzed with WINSEEDLE. 4) The data obtained from WINSEEDLE are collected the statistics. 5) The morphological data of seeds are uploaded on the database. During the test screening we have found a line that showed large seed phenotype. To carry out large-scale screening we are now developing automatic system of the seed morphological analysis.
