Abstract
To promote young people's interest in and understanding of science and technology, MEXT had made 'Rika Daisuki Plan'. In this plan, there are well known programs such as Super Science High Schools (SSH), Aiming Specialists, Science Partnership Program (SPP), as well as 'Sono-michi-no Tatsujin (great authority)' program, 'Manabinpic' program including International Biology Olympiad, 'Rika Daisuki volunteers/coordinators' program, 'Rika Daisuki school' program and others. On the other hand, for promoting public understanding of science and technology, there are some programs concerning to The National Science Museum and The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan), 'Science Camp' by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and other programs related to science literacy education. More recently, a lot of science caf? have been opened in many styles by various organizers. I would like to introduce briefly these programs and explain my challenge to practice some of the programs.
