Abstract
The authors observe Mei-Shi village which is inhabited by Atayal tribe. The lifestyle of Atayal tribe depend on the river's resources. Some guidelines are subagested in conducting regional planning for Atayal tribe, which are : (1 ) Arousing the visitors' awareness to protect the cleanliness of river (i.e. not to throw away trashes into the river). (2) Reconsideration of harmless materials to the nature for more treatment of raw sewage. (3) Promoting non-chemical agriculture to protect the river.
