This study is on the cane that would be needed in self-supported lives for the aged. The purpose of this study is to develop a variety of grip forms of the cane under the condition of load allowance to the cane. The load allowance is explained as the range of 20% to 3O% of cane user's weight.The load quantity on 10 types of grip models were examined by 4 subjects. It was clarified that all types of grips were within the load allowance, and 9 grip models except TYPE1 reduced the load to the handicapped leg comparatively. The form that has width in its rear part was estimated with high score subjectively.
