Abstract
This paper describes the results of the reverberation perception obtained by experiments with seven subjects in the anechoic chamber. The sound stimuli of musical instruments, piano, guitar and flute, were used as experimental sources. Three factors, the reverberation time, the reverberative sound pressure and the initial time delay, affecting the reverberation perception were systematically experimented. As a result, it was found that the sound feeling depended on the sound pressure difference between the direct sound and the reverberation as well as the reverberation time. Secondly, the effects of the instrumental sound characteristics on the optimum reverberation time were investigated.
