Abstract
The method of extracting a problem and needs is called direct observation technique that is observing the relation between a system, a product, and a user directly. The purpose of this research is extraction of the observation point of direct observation. Research was done in the following order. First, we observed user who are using various product, systems and institutions, and we extracted and structured observation points which were based on the data obtained from the observation. Second we performed a design and practice of the observation technique based on the extracted observation point. The extracted observation point was able to structure to four items of "Pay attention to user's actions" "Pay attention to system and a product" "Pay attention to the interaction of a user and a system" "Pay attention to the trace which a user left". Moreover, we could verify the validity of the observation point which was extracted this time by devising and practicing the observation technique which utilized the association rule and the single case experimental design based on the structurized observation point.
