Abstract
The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore in U.S.A. holds Japanese exhibits from the Philadelphia International Exhibition of 1876. These exhibits were mainly purchased by William Walters (1819-1894) and Henry Walters (1845-1931) when they visited the Centennial Exhibition as I stated in my presentation of 2004, "The Philadelphia International Exhibition of 1876 and Japonisant in America". It is said that they purchased nearly 400 objects. However the museum could not identify all of these objects. In this presentation I report on the objects of Japanese arts and crafts which were identified to come from the Philadelphia International Exhibition of 1876 by the museum curators.
