Abstract
Though wood is being used as the interior materials abundantly, but it is afraid of the exhaustion of the resources. There are "KIGAMI" and "KIORI" as materials developed for the purpose of the effective use of the wood. A sensory evaluation experiment by the SD method was done about the materials, and that sense character was researched. "KIGAMI" was evaluated as approximating a Japanese paper in both of the sense of touch and the sight more than wood. And then, it was estimated that it was graceful and traditional material. Referring to this result, we propose a partition and display shelf while "KIGAMI" was used as the way of looking like fittings such as FUSUMA and SHOUJI.
