Abstract
This paper presents scenario and the development process of Chaidcare Robot PaPeRo. Scenario design is one of the most essential elements for personal robots. Especially, for robots that interact with human beings like PaPeRo, stage direction and expressions of motions, stage business, dialog (words and phrases), accent and tone of voice, and sound effect have a huge impact on the user's impression. It is also necessary to pay sufficient attention to human-interface design including the scenario flow and presentation of the robot status. The development process of the scenarios that gives sufficient considerations to these acpects is presented to show improved quality other than ordinary functions and capabilities such as interaction and behavior of the personal robot.
